Occumster Water Main Upgrade
Project Overview
We are pleased to confirm the successful completion of the first phase of water main renewal between Occumster and Lower Camster. The work aims to ensure we can deliver a reliable and resilient water supply now and in the future.
Phase 2 of the work is underway, which will involve installing approximately 4.7km of new water main in two locations.
The work is split into two sections. Section 1 – Roster to Upper Camster (Start date 10th November for approx. 3 months) and Section 2 – Upper Lybster (Start date January 2026 for approx. 6 months).
Our contractor GMR Henderson will be carrying out this work on our behalf and they will do all they can to keep disruption to a minimum.

Latest Update - July 2026
Phase two - Upper Lybster started in January and is progressing well, this work is mostly on private land. We will be working on timed access slots to try and maintain access as much as possible for residents. Estimated completion is September this year.
