George Street, Glasgow - Lane and Footpath Closure

We are making customers aware of a road and footpath closure in place on George Street, Glasgow to carry out repairs to a damaged sewer. 

A section of George Street between High Street and Shuttle Street is closed to all vehicles both westbound and eastbound.

The area has been fenced off and made safe while work progresses. 

Local businesses remain open, and drivers are being asked to follow all signs and allow extra time for their journeys.

The work is expected to take approximately 6 weeks to complete and the full road closure will be in place until Friday 19th December. 

We will provide a further update on the progress of this work when more information becomes available.

We recognise these works may cause some inconvenience, and we would like to thank everyone for their patience while these repairs are completed.
